Amir Khan vs Paul McCloskey is a 140-pound world title fight, that is going to be aired on HBO's Boxing After Dark. As part of an HBO televised, the split-site double-header that will include WBC Welterweight Championship, Andre Berto vs. Victor Ortiz. Following on from Khan’s successful title defense against Marcos Maidana, Champion Amir will return back to Manchester and continue his title defense against EBU Super Lightweight Champion Paul McCloskey at the Manchester Evening News Arena.

So he will be hoping to avoid complacency against Ireland’s Paul McCloskey on Saturday night at the M.E.N Arena. On paper McCloskey is a great choice as an opponent to Khan’s throne, he is unbeaten in 22 fights, European champion, with a big Irish following who will buy the fight on pay-per-view.
